Against Cellphones

In this essay I'm going to talk about humans that use cellphones too much and it can have some effects. For example, playing too much with the phone it can affect grades at school, your relationship with your friends and your healthy.

A lot of people are sleeping late at night because of playing with the phone at night and it might cause the loss of sleep and insomnia.
When students study, the phone also can be distractive, so they won't get good grades.
Slowly the phone will also affects in your relationship with your friends, you don't need to meet your friend in real. Just send a video call and you can chat together

Parents usually give the phone to their children when they cry. If the child can have the phone he would stop crying but he will get used to it every time that he cries , they need phones to let them stop crying and it is not good to their healthy. A lot of teen play the phone too much so they need to wear glasses.

If You See These 3 Signs,
Then BE CAREFUL!

How many of you refuse to believe that they are addicted to internet?
50 percent of teenagers and 27 percent of adults accepted that they are addicted to internet .  Internet addiction makes you mentally and physically sick.  Not only you, but also people around you are affected by it. Well, if you still don’t accept, just continue to read. Internet addiction is a big issue and it has 3 main symptoms.

The Internet has made life a lot easier by making information more accessible to all and creating connections with different people around the world. However, it has also made a lot of people spend too much time on internet, so that it becomes the center of their lives. This can lead to an ınternet addiction.

Internet addiction is described as an impulse control disorder, which does not involve use of an intoxicating drug and is very similar to pathological gambling. Cyber sex and pornography use are the most common types of Internet addictions. People can also become addicted to online chatting, shopping, gambling and website surfing.

Addicted people are mostly teenagers. Aided by the convenience and constant access provided by mobile devices, especially smartphones, 92% of teens report going online daily, and nearly three-quarters of teens have or have access to a smartphone, which makes people more addicted, since they carry internet to everywhere they go.

Many people don’t know that they are addicted to internet. Here’s how to tell if it’s time to seek help for an Internet addiction.

1. You’re spending more time online than with family or friends

Do you find that you stay online longer than you intended?
The amount of time people spend on social media is constantly increasing. Teens now spend up to nine hours a day on social platforms. Facebook is the most frequently used social media platform among teens; half of teens use Instagram, and nearly as many use Snapchat.
Internet addicts choose to spend time online rather than participate in social activities. If you are one, this makes you isolated and self conscious. If your Internet use is out of control, your family and friends question why you’re choosing the computer over them or complain about the amount of time you’re spending online, and this ruins your relationships with others. And sometimes, you  form new relationships with others online, which is dangerous for your safety.

2. You’re neglecting yourself and your studies

If you are an internet addict, you spend so much time online that you forget about your job and your school work. You neglect housework, your schoolwork, job performance and your productivity suffers. Internet addicts use social media also during night, which means that they lose sleep due to being online late at night, and researchers suggested that the light that cell phones emit can suppress the secretion of melatonin, which promotes sleep. Not enough sleep lowers your mood and causes problems. If you find that your Internet use is causing you to neglect your health, your chores and your work, it may be time to seek help.

3. You’re using the Internet to alter your mood

Do you turn to your iPhone because you’re bored or because you’re trying to avoid dealing with stressful or unpleasant things in your life?
If you are depressed or you suffer from anxiety disorders , then you are more likely to  become hooked on the internet.  In social media you create a new character, so that you can be like how you wanted to be, or you escape the situation and chat with friends or surf on the internet. You feel depressed, moody, or nervous when you are off-line, which goes away once you are back online. Since your purposes of using internet deviate and internet becomes a second life for you, you be hooked on internet.

If you feel like an addict, it’s time to do something. You can declare tech-free zones and times by finding balance and setting limits. You may stop using your phone while eating or after 10 p.m. You can check the ratings, so you choose beneficial sites and encourage yourself to be creative and responsible, not passive users. Or  ıf you observe significant negative issues you can seek expert help, consult your pediatrician, a psychologist, a social worker or another professional for advice.

So now leave your devices and...

No Texting at Night, No Hurting Your Eye

Have you ever wondered why your memory is failing?

It probably depends on how much time you sleep at night. If you already realized that you are texting late at night and using your phone before falling asleep chronically, you should realize that you are addicted to the internet too. Most people nowadays are addicted with the internet, but it is is really affecting our life, such as loss of sleep, lower grades and physical effects.

Texting at night is really affecting our sleep. Especially for teens, checking Instagram and Facebook before sleeping is becoming similar to a job. People who use their phone at night usually sleep less than those who don’t. The bedtime cell phone use usually causes insomnia. Keyes noted that “the increased internet or social media use and pressures due to the heightened competitiveness of the college admissions process are adding to the sleep problem.” The loss of sleep is often the first sign of internet addiction and it causes sleeping disorders such as sleep deprivation, insomnia, and daytime sleepiness.

The loss of sleep in order to text late at night is also affecting our grades. The study of STRICT showed that about 55 percent of students use their phone before sleeping at least on hour, and 20 of them use more than 3 hours. And most of them said it was impacting their school work. The researcher from Rutgers University led a study and showed that there is big a difference in school performance depending on the time that students text on their phone. Students who text longer at night in the dark before sleeping usually sleep only few hours and they usually remain sleepy during the day. And the daytime sleepiness affects the efficiency of school working and concentration in the classes obviously.
Texting late at night is not only affecting our sleeping qualities and grades, but also our health. After texting late at night, most people would put the phone next to or under their pillows. But don’t you know that the phone radiations are harming you unknowingly? According to the scientific literature, the RF of the phone causes the body to send 20 kinds of stress hormones, which can trigger blood-brain barrier leaks and the break of DNA etc… And also dizziness, headaches and the falling of memory, which affects school grades too. The light from the phone screens, which is called blue light, interferes with our bodies’ natural rhythm a lot.

In conclusion, the first great merit of social networks is undoubtedly to facilitate the communication between people who are in different places in the world, but what we could do is to control our phone use time and try not to text before we go to sleep. It is better for us student to sleep at least 9 hours per day to make sure the school work efficiency and our body growth and development.

 School vs Cellphones

In this essay I will talk you about the effects of cellphone use against school grades. Every day students around the world go to sleep late at night without studying anything because of texting with their friends. These cellphones today have completely immerged us in another world because we text more that 500 messages a day. We start from 7 in the morning by texting our crush or our friends till late in the night. This influences very much on our school grades and behavior because we always text and never dedicate time to study.
Using internet affects your life in 2 effects. The first effect is on our social life with our friends and our parents. We spend lots and lots of time on our cellphones instead of goig out with friends just for a coffee. Another effect that internet has on us is physical. We sleep less during night because we text till 2 am and we are always stressed because we can experience problems on the internet.

Reaserchers are now reserching on how teens are affected by cellphones. They classify internet addiction as a real addiction to something like drug. Even gaming and video games can be classified as an addiction because videogames use internet to play online. even online gambling is a addiction because more and more people gamble online such as poker or virtual lottery games.

I conclude by saying that we teenagers should
use less cellphones and have a better social life with friends and family.

THE PORTAL OF DISTRACTION!

Are you addicted to the internet? Can you bear to live without being online?
Il you want to stop your internet addiction, you can start setting time limits, reduce the number of social networks, and turn the phone off at bed time.

For setting time limits, you can make a plan for do it, but you have to tell yourself the amount of the time that you can spend surfing the internet. This time, you can use it to do other activities, like read some books, do a sport, or go out with your friends. This is better than staying at home doing nothing, only stay sitting playing with your computer without going out and live real life.

To reduce the number of social networks, you must only have one account of each social network and do not have all, of them, only those that you know that you are going to use. They also have to be useful for you. You must not have 5 accounts for gmail or for Instagram. Because with that you waste your time seeing all your accounts and all the messages when you can see it one time and not 5, for example.

And to finish, the best thing to do at night is to turn off the phone. The phone at night does not help you to sleep. It has the opposite effect. It keeps you awake. When you use it during the night, at the end, you go to sleep later because you are "active" using the phone. The next day, you will be sleepy and will not do all the things that you have to do, with the same amount of energy that you usually do.

As a conclusion, you need to spend less time on internet and you should use this time ( that you do not spend on internet) doing interesting things, having fun, and building relationships with friends and family.
